Roehl Joins Atlanta Habitat as Communications Director

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity President & CEO Lisa Gordon today announced the appointment of Sheryl A. Roehl as Communications & Marketing Director for the organization. In the newly created position, Roehl will lead strategic marketing and communication efforts for Atlanta Habitat, reporting to Gordon and working closely with the Executive Team.

“Sheryl joins us at an exciting time for Atlanta Habitat,” Gordon said. “She will play an important strategic role in communicating our expanded mission of leading neighborhood transformation by connecting the people, partnerships and resources necessary to build strong communities in metropolitan Atlanta.”

Roehl comes to the organization with particular strengths in strategic marketing, branding, messaging, integrated marketing campaigns and media relations. An award-winning marketing communications leader, Roehl has extensive experience working in the technology, healthcare, and public and nonprofit sectors. She began her career in journalism as a reporter in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.

Her work has been recognized with a national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award of Excellence. Roehl received a bachelor’s degree from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.
