• Cherokee Area Council's 6th Annual Sporting Clays Classic Raises More Than $42,700 For Local Scouting (chattanoogan.com) — A major scouting fundraiser just brought more than $42,700 into programs supported by an annual Sporting Clays Classic held at Garland Mountain Sporting Clays & Grill in Waleska. With 104 shooters, numerous sponsors, and raffle prizes, the event funds leadership and outdoor opportunities for area youth, and organizers are already inviting participants to the next tournament on September 17, 2027.
