• Victim's family outraged after judge halts execution of Powder Springs double-murderer (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A Cobb County judge has halted the execution of Stacey Humphreys, convicted in the 2003 killings of real estate agents Lori Brown and Cyndi Williams at their Powder Springs office. The pause, based on Georgia's new Survivor Justice Act, sends the case to the state Supreme Court and prolongs an already decades-long wait for final resolution for the victims' Powder Springs families.
