• Woodstock Fire Department mourns senior firefighter who died off duty (dailydispatch.com) — Woodstock is mourning Senior Firefighter Andrew McMichen, who died while off duty, as the city's fire department rallies around his family, friends, and colleagues. Fire Chief Shane Dobson praised McMichen's service and asked the community to keep the department and McMichen's loved ones in their thoughts and prayers as they cope with the loss.
• Medical issue suspected in deadly crash (wsbtv.com) — A Woodstock man was seriously injured in a deadly two-vehicle crash in nearby Acworth that also killed a 44-year-old driver and hurt a child passenger. Investigators suspect the Woodstock driver may have suffered a medical issue before his truck crossed into oncoming traffic, and Cobb County's STEP Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
