• Priscilla Shirer and Lifeway celebrate 20 years of ministry partnership (triangletribune.com) — Nearly 5,000 women recently packed First Baptist Church Woodstock for a Going Beyond Live event celebrating 20 years of ministry partnership between Priscilla Shirer and Lifeway. The gathering in Woodstock featured Shirer's Bible teaching, worship music, and encouragement for women and teens to see their daily environments as "kingdom assignments," while also highlighting her broader impact through books, studies, and films.
• Volleyball Recap: Etowah Routs Woodstock for Its Widest Victory Margin Yet (maxpreps.com) — Woodstock High's volleyball team took a tough 3-0 loss to Etowah on Tuesday, with the Eagles posting their biggest set margin of the season. The defeat continues a rough stretch for the Wolverines, now 3-17, as they stay on the road to face Kell on Thursday evening, giving local fans another chance to support a turnaround.
• Obituaries for September 10, 2026: Artie Bailey, Patricia Evans, Davis Fitts, Zack Fletcher, James Grant, Laura Link, Arlene Scott (pickensprogress.com) — A detailed obituary honors longtime educator and volunteer Artie Sherman Bailey, who passed away in Woodstock and leaves behind a close-knit family and many former students.
