• Application withdrawn for Woodstock mobile home redevelopment plan (newsbreak.com) — A controversial plan to replace the Ansley Park of Woodstock mobile home community with 220 single-family houses has been withdrawn, keeping current residents in place for now. Woodstock officials say the annexation and rezoning request is off the table, so upcoming hearings are canceled, though the owner may revisit a sale in the future with residents promised direct updates.
• Cherokee County adopts new rules for electric bikes (newsbreak.com) — Cherokee County has adopted new rules for e-bikes, scooters, and similar devices, setting where each class can ride and how fast, with fines up to $1,000 for repeat violations. For Woodstock residents, these county rules layer on top of the city's own ordinance, which already bans e-bikes from city sidewalks and shapes how riders use local trails and paths.
• Traffic stop leads Cherokee deputies to Acworth drug raid, 4 arrests (fox5atlanta.com) — Cherokee drug investigators say a July tip led them to a suspected cocaine trafficking operation at an Acworth home, resulting in four arrests. One of those charged, Eric Sanders, is from Woodstock and faces cocaine and MDMA distribution-related counts, with all four suspects awaiting court dates as the investigation continues.
