• East Honolulu voters file Supreme Court election challenge supporting Tommy Waters (hawaiinewsnow.com) — East Honolulu voters are asking the Hawaii Supreme Court to reinstate Tommy Waters as a candidate, arguing Honolulu election officials wrongly handled his disqualification and the validity of his votes. The challenge claims the Honolulu Elections Division's actions changed primary results and disenfranchised voters, while Trevor Ozawa's side says the process has followed the law and awaits a final ruling.
   

• Firefighters rescue dog, cat from Alewa Heights house fire (staradvertiser.com) — Honolulu firefighters quickly knocked down a house fire on Alewa Drive Monday night, rescuing a dog and cat from the two-story multi-family home. Eleven Honolulu Fire Department units responded within minutes, fully extinguishing the blaze without injuries while investigators work to determine the cause and assess damage.
