• Drunk driving crackdown hits Oahu roads ahead of Labor Day weekend (kitv.com) — Honolulu-based law enforcement and Mothers Against Drunk Driving are stepping up impaired driving enforcement on Oahu roads as the busy Labor Day weekend approaches. The 'Saturation Saturday' effort supports a national campaign to deter drunk driving, while a local Zumbathon honoring a victim of an impaired driver continues raising awareness across the islands.
   

• Rainbow Wahine volleyball swept by San Diego to close opening weekend (hawaiinewsnow.com) — In Honolulu, the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team wrapped opening weekend with a straight-set loss to San Diego after a grueling five-set win over Baylor. Coach Joshua Walker says the team will use an off day to recover and refocus before returning to the Stan Sheriff Center for Thursday's Outrigger Invitational matchup against Utah Tech.
