• Motorcyclist dies weeks after critical Hwy 137 crash in Pahoa (hawaiinewsnow.com) — A Pahoa motorcyclist has died from injuries suffered in a Sept. 5 crash on Highway 137 near the 14-mile marker, and police are asking anyone who saw it to come forward. Investigators say speed, alcohol, and/or drugs may be factors, and note the rider was not wearing a helmet as they continue a coroner's inquest.
