The city's 20-acre urban agriculture park is expanding its role in food education, farmers markets, and community events, with more pathway and irrigation work planned to further serve Boise residents.
2. Meridian + Valley Events (citylifestyle.com) — A full slate of Boise-area events is on the way, from Spirit of Boise balloon launches and Alive After Five concerts downtown to Art in the Park, the Boise Mountain Bike Festival, and the FitOne races at Ann Morrison Park. You'll also find nearby festivals in Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, Nampa, and beyond, offering music, food, art, and family fun throughout the coming weeks.
3. MPD: Boise man arrested for rape after allegedly providing juvenile with drugs, alcohol (kivitv.com) — A 58-year-old Boise resident was arrested after Meridian police say he met a juvenile near The Village at Meridian and is accused of exchanging drugs and alcohol for a sexual encounter. Investigators used license plate recognition to locate his vehicle, and he was booked into Ada County Jail on a rape charge. The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking additional tips.
4. 'Don't sleep on us.' Boise High football pounds Capital for rare win over rival (idahostatesman.com) — Boise High's football team grabbed a rare rivalry win over Capital, powering to a 42-27 victory at Dona Larsen Park behind a dominant ground game and standout senior running back Logan McDonald. Sophomore quarterback Wayne Bower added three touchdown passes as Boise's young core showed why coaches think this season could signal a new era for the Brave.
