Boise Police Department Investigates Series Of Small Fires

Each fire was quickly put out either by Boise firefighters or police officers with fire extinguishers from their vehicle.

Last night around 2:40 a.m. Boise Police and Boise Fire responded to a report of a dumpster fire in downtown Boise Within about 20 minutes, first responders responded to three additional fires in close proximity. Each fire was quickly put out either by Boise firefighters or police officers with fire extinguishers from their vehicle.

Fires were located in the following areas

  • Near 560 W. Main - dumpster fire
  • Near 407 W. Main -dumpster fire
  • Near 501 W. Grove – privacy cloth attached to a fence
  • Near 621 W. Main - dumpster fire

Officers immediately began an investigation and surveillance video images show a male suspect with a beard, wearing a black beanie, black sweatshirt and brown vest. At some point the suspect either took off the vest or put it under the hoodie. Possible charges include Arson and Malicious Injury to Property.
