Brush Fire Burns 4 Acres Near Boise Airport
Fire crews were able to contain the large brush fire Monday afternoon near the Boise Airport.

BOISE, ID - Boise firefighters have contained a brush fire burning south of downtown. The fire was located near the Broadway Avenue overpass over I-84 to the Boise Airport. The fire was burning over an area of approximately four acres, according to the department.
The brush fire comes as temperatures soared Monday into the 90s. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, and temperatures are supposed to remain in the 80s throughout the week. Dry, hot weather and the possibility of lightning heighten the chance for more brush fires throughout the week.
Crews made quick progress on a grass fire burning near the Broadway Ave overpass, it is now contained.The fire burned apx 4 acres.
