City Of Boise: BPD Investigates Fatal Crash On Eagle Road

Just before 4pm, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on Eagle Road at Baldcypress. A preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle traveling northbound on Eagle Road was attempting to turn left across southbound traffic. One lane of southbound traffic was stopped and the turning vehicle cleared the first lane of southbound traffic and was struck by a vehicle traveling in the second lane of travel. Sadly the female passenger in the turning vehicle passed away from her injuries, the male driver in the turning vehicle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger in the southbound vehicle were not injured.

Southbound Eagle Road between Ustick Rd. and McMillan Rd. was closed and reopened just before 9pm. BPD detectives and a crash reconstruction team continue to investigate.
