City Of Boise: BPD Investigates Fatal Crash On Overland Road

At 7:17 pm Boise Police responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash on W. Overland Rd. west of S. Five Mile Rd. A preliminary investigation shows the pedestrian was walking north across the road, not in a crosswalk, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Overland Road. The pedestrian, an adult female, was rushed to a local hospital but passed away from her injuries. Boise Police Department detectives and a crash reconstruction team responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The driver of the involved vehicle stopped immediately after the collision. Westbound Overland Road was shut down during the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time. The Ada County Coroner will release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
