City Of Boise: BPD Investigating Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Crash

Shortly after 7:30 pm on Thursday officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian injury crash at the intersection of Federal Way and Protest Road. Evidence indicates the driver of a Ford truck was making a righthand turn from westbound Federal Way onto northbound Protest Rd. and struck an adult male pedestrian who was in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Boise Police officers secured the area and provided traffic control while detectives and a crash reconstruction team responded to the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a male juvenile, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
