The City of Boise wants to highlight community heroes who have made a difference in large and small ways over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is asking Boise residents to nominate fellow community members to be recognized in the coming weeks. “It takes all of us working together to create a city for everyone and the dedication of our residents through an incredibly difficult time does not go unnoticed,” said Mayor Lauren McLean. “I look forward to highlighting Boiseans who continue to sacrifice and serve our community daily.” Do you know someone who stepped up to help a neighbor in need? Have you encountered a medical professional or team working hard to keep our community healthy? Or do you appreciate an essential worker who shows up day in and day out to get the job done? We want to learn about them and thank them for their efforts.  Please visit our website to submit a nomination and tell us a story about your community hero. No act of service is too small to be considered.  The submission period is open until August 22, 2021. Mayor McLean and City of Boise leaders will read through all of the submissions and select nominees for recognition, including honoring community members at this year’s State of the City Address scheduled for September 16.
