This year in the City of Boise there are about 47 parties registered in Boise for National Night Out on August 3, 2021. This annual event is all about getting to know your neighbors and developing stronger community-police partnerships. National Night Out is celebrated across the country on the first Tuesday in August and is designed to help build safer and more caring communities. Organizers who registered their parties with the Boise Police Department were able to request visits from police officers, firefighters, paramedics, the Mayor, City Council members, and other city agencies.

“We are excited to bring this event back and reconnect with neighbors after National Night Out was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Captain Mike Ruffalo from BPD’s Community Outreach Division. “The partnerships we have with our community help keep Boise the safe community it is today and will continue to do so long into the future.”
