I applaud incoming President Joe Biden’s executive order to rejoin the Paris Agreement on his first day in office.

The City of Boise has proven what it means to be a leader in climate action at the local level, and it’s time for the United States to once again lead at the global level in addressing climate change.

We understand that this is just the beginning in tackling the interconnected crises our nation - and Idaho - faces. Rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement is a good first step in reaffirming our nation’s commitments to reducing carbon emissions and putting us back in the right direction to ensure a more equitable and clean future for all.
