Montessori Academy Parkcenter Gives Back During Holiday Season

Students held donation drives in support of The Idaho Food Bank and Ronald McDonald House Charities® Idaho

Students at Montessori Academy Parkcenter in Boise recently took part in two initiatives to give back this holiday season. In November, students held a food drive drive and collected more than 300 pounds of food for The Idaho Food Bank to benefit local families in need. Kindergarten students also sold soup bowls they painted to raise money for The Idaho Food Bank through the organization’s “Empty Bowls” program. In December, students donated a variety of toys and winter gear for Ronald McDonald House Charities® Idaho’s “Santa’s Workshop” event, where the organization’s houseguests will be able to pick up gifts for their families. The event will help provide a stress-free experience for families of ill or injured children. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and helping others.
