Reader Asks, We Answer

A Boise Patch follower recently asked for the vaccination rate for Ada County. We found the answer and a little bit more in response.

BOISE, ID — A Boise Patch fan recently contacted us requesting information on the vaccination rate for our local area. We did some research and found the following information.

A total of 51% of Ada County residents have now received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. The county still is recording 5.6 new cases per 100,000 residents daily with a positive test rate of 5.2% as of today.

Looking at counties around us, Ada County is faring well. Canyon County currently sits at 33% of residents vaccinated. Cases per 100,000 is lower than Ada County, coming in at 4.5. Positive test rates come in at 6.9%.

Around Idaho, Ada County ranks third in vaccination rates. Blaine County leads the state with a 72% vaccine rate and Valley County is second with a 51% rate, the same as Ada.

The lowest vaccine rate for the state is Idaho County, sitting at 24%. Owyhee and Payette County both have a 25% vaccine rate.
