US Ecology Disappoints With $8.4M Earnings Report

BOISE, ID — US Ecology Inc. reported third-quarter earnings of $8.4 million on Thursday.
The Boise, Idaho-based company said it had profit of 38 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 37 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.

The radioactive and hazardous waste services company posted revenue of $134.1 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $135.5 million.
US Ecology expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.60 to $1.72 per share.

US Ecology shares have climbed 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $53.15, a climb of 23 percent in the last 12 months.
