Woman Injured In Tuesday's Fiery I-84 Crash Dies

The driver was struck by debris from a semi involved in the crash.

BOISE, ID — Idaho State Police announced Monday the 27-year-old woman involved in the Interstate 84 crash May 11 has died from her injuries. The victim's name has not been released.

The victim was the driver of a westbound Toyota Tacoma hit by debris. She was found one-half mile from the scene of the original incident as the vehicle continued forward after she was initially struck by debris.

The accident started as a 28-year-old Parma man made an abrupt lane change, striking a semi loaded with lumber. The semi then sideswiped an eastbound passenger vehicle before crashing through the concrete median. Upon impact, the semi caught fire and hit a westbound semi.

In addition to the deceased victim, three additional drivers were transported to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
