• Idaho senators seek three-year Secure Rural Schools extension (idahoednews.org) — Cottonwood’s school district is highlighted as one of Idaho’s biggest historical beneficiaries of the federal Secure Rural Schools program, which Idaho’s U.S. senators now want to extend for three more years. The bipartisan bill could restore roughly $7 million a year statewide, helping rural districts and counties near national forests maintain schools, roads, and essential services.
