Western Livestock Exchange brings auctions back to Emmett (idahopress.com) — Livestock auctions are back at the Emmett sale yard on Sales Yard Road, giving local ranchers a nearby option again every Tuesday at 11 a.m. Under new owners Trent and Ciara Warner, Western Livestock Exchange is drawing sellers from Emmett and surrounding communities, restoring a key marketplace and exploring added services like an arena and possible horse boarding.
2. Veterans Take to the Skies Over Emmett (idahopress.com) — Emmett residents just saw local veterans honored with nostalgic biplane flights over town, thanks to a Dream Flights event with The Cottages. Livestock auctions have also returned under new ownership at the former Seven Rivers Livestock site, and a championship horse show on Oct. 10 will celebrate Blaine Eggers' legacy with competitions and a Halloween-themed costume contest.
