• Police: Teen arrested for fatal hit-and-run crash in Idaho Falls that left motorcyclist dead (idahostatejournal.com) — An 18-year-old driver was arrested after a Sunday morning hit-and-run at East Anderson and North Holmes in Idaho Falls that fatally injured an adult motorcyclist. Police say witnesses quickly called 911, helped the victim, and provided vehicle details that led officers to the suspect, who now faces felony vehicular manslaughter and leaving-the-scene charges.

• A year of record fish in the Gem State (lmtribune.com) — Idaho anglers are shattering state fishing records this year, and one of them is Dylan Smith of Idaho Falls, who landed a 43.25-inch lake trout at Payette Lake. From giant cutthroat and burbot to record brown trout on the South Fork, 2026 has become a standout season for impressive catches across the Gem State.
