2. Chukars add Pioneer League honors as Sam Canton named MVP and Justin Trimble tabbed top rookie (eastidahonews.com) — Idaho Falls baseball fans can celebrate as Chukars star Sam Canton has been named Pioneer Baseball League Most Valuable Player after a record-setting season at the plate. Idaho Falls Fire and EMS assisted Idaho State Police at the scene, and investigators are still working to determine exactly what happened.

Mental health advocate's 3,300-mile cross-country run passes through Idaho Falls (postregister.com) — Idaho Falls was one of the key waypoints for a Denver-based mental health counselor running 3,300 miles across the country to raise awareness for teen and athlete mental health. He and his fiancée recently passed through town on their Boston-to-Oregon journey, sharing their message and encouraging people to seek support and counseling resources when they need help.
