Idaho Falls Elks Lodge #1087 Flag Day Ceremony

The Idaho Falls Elks Lodge is holding a Flag Day Celebration on Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 AM at the Elks Lodge, 640 East Elva Street, in Idaho Falls, ID. Flag Day commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official US Flag in 1777. This ceremony will start at the flagpole located in the north side of the parking lot. The Flag Raising will be performed by a local Boy Scouts Troop. Taps will be performed by the American Legion, followed by a 21 Gun Salute, also performed by the American Legion. Following that we will proceed into the Lodge Ballroom and a short ceremony will follow. The Army is celebrating their 250th birthday and there will be a ceremony commemorating their birthday. There will be a light luncheon served following the ceremony, along with cake being served by Army Veterans! All are welcome to attend!
