Here are the top three stories in Idaho Falls today:
- A man has been charged with multiple felonies after accidentally shooting himself with a stolen firearm. Michael Neil told investigators he was shot by a man in a red hat but when questioned on his story, confessed he shot himself. A search of his vehicle found multiple stolen guns, and having a previous felony for drug possession and battery he was not allowed to own them. Neil is scheduled to appear in court on Jun. 16 and is being charged with two counts of grand theft of a firearm, three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. - A new art exhibit called 'Elemental' has opened at the Willard Arts Center! The theme transpires to represent Idaho's natural elements and resources in an abstract way, along with what is inside our minds. You can see the collection of watercolor paintings, woodwork, and more by local Idaho artists Avianne, Beth Trott, Michael Norse, and Gary Peer until Sept. 3. (East Idaho News)
- Iconic rock band TOOL has planned a stop in Idaho Falls at the Mountain America Center! The General Manager of the Mountain America Center Erik Hudson says "I think a common misconception of our facility is it's not big enough to bring in large names like TOOL but it's quite the opposite!" Tickets for the event will be available for purchase on Jun. 9 at 10:00 a.m, you can also purchase presale tickets through the TOOL fan club, Tool Army. See the band perform on Oct. 12 at the Hero Arena in the Mountain America Center. (East Idaho News)
