Farmers Market Costume Contest Adds '1976' Theme For Anniversary (moscowidaho.news) — Moscow's Farmers Market is tightening up its annual costume contest this year, with preregistration, shorter morning hours, and a special 1976-themed category to celebrate the market's 50th anniversary. Commissioners also picked two questions for the city's fall citizen survey and are urging residents to vote online in a national contest that could bring prize money back to Moscow's market.
2. Vandal Cross Country Heads to Spokane to Kick Off New Season (govandals.com) — University of Idaho cross country, based in Moscow, opens its 2026 season this Friday, Sept. 4, at the Clash of the Inland Northwest in Spokane. Women race a 6K at 8:30 a.m. and men an 8K at 9:15 a.m., with returning standouts and several freshmen making their collegiate debuts before heading to Missoula later this month.
3. Bryan Kohberger's Lawyer Suggests He Has New Information About Idaho Murders As Quadruple Murderer Moves To Withdraw Guilty Pleas (nybreaking.com) — The man who admitted to killing four University of Idaho students in a Moscow off-campus home is now trying to withdraw his guilty pleas, claiming he was misled by his former lawyers. His new legal team is challenging the judge's continued role in the case and seeking post-conviction relief, potentially reopening a painful chapter for Moscow families still grieving the 2022 murders.
4.
