CCSO: Two brothers found dead inside Nampa home, apparent murder-suicide under investigation (ktvb.com) — Two brothers were found dead in a south Nampa home Tuesday night, and Canyon County deputies say evidence points to an apparent murder-suicide with no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators identified the men as Charles Joseph Taylor, 57, and Heath Taylor, 47, both Nampa residents, and are continuing to examine what happened inside the Deer Flat Road residence.
2. A mom, a silversmith, a nurse: Three charter schools prepare students for different paths (idahoednews.org) — Two Nampa charter schools, Idaho Arts Charter and Elevate Academy Nampa, are showcasing hands-on arts and career-focused programs that let students explore everything from silversmithing to nursing and HVAC. Recent tours by legislators and candidates highlighted how these schools differ from traditional classrooms, with uniforms, strict structure, and trade labs that tie math and reading directly to real-world skills for local students.
3. Idaho DMV launches self-service kiosks for vehicle registration renewals (kioskmarketplace.com) — Nampa drivers will soon be able to renew standard vehicle registrations at new self-service DMV kiosks inside local grocery stores. The state is rolling out machines first in Boise and Meridian, then adding four more within a month in Nampa Falls, Pocatello, and Twin Falls, with additional locations and services planned as the program grows.
4. ISP: Nampa man airlifted to hospital after semi-truck crash (kivitv.com) — A 37-year-old Nampa man was airlifted to a hospital after his semi-truck tipped on its side along US-20 near Fairfield Wednesday afternoon. Idaho State Police say he twice overcorrected after leaving the roadway, closing the highway for about two and a half hours while emergency crews responded. His current condition has not been released.
