$12+ Million In Lotto Wins For 3 IL Players Over Weekend

Three Illinois Lottery players won big with nearly $13 million in combined prizes over the weekend, according to the state lottery system.

One lucky winner matched all six numbers in Saturday’s Lotto drawing to win an $11.6 million jackpot on a ticket bought at truenorth in Bartlett. The store will get a $116,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The winning numbers were: 5, 6, 8, 27, 40 and 50.

The Illinois Lottery characterized the game in a news release as "a $2 jackpot game offering three chances to become a millionaire."

An online Fast Play Twenty 20s player won $481,907, also on Saturday.

And a Lucky Day Lotto ticket purchased at a Shell gas station on Western Avenue in Chicago matched all five numbers in the Friday evening drawing to win the player $700,000. The winning numbers were 10, 12, 14, 19 and 41.

"Illinois Lottery winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize," according to the news release. "Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket immediately and keep it in a safe place until it is claimed."
