ILLINOIS — One lucky Powerball player recently won $2 million.

The winning ticket was purchased online for Monday’s drawing and had the numbers 18, 30, 31, 52 and 63, according to the Illinois Lottery, which noted the drawing was for a $1 million prize but the winner had paid extra for the Power Play feature, which doubled their winnings to $2 million.

The winner has one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize.

Powerball tickets are $2 each, but players have the option to add Power Play for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes. Drawings are conducted Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 9:59 p.m. The jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is estimated at $336 million.
