Higher gusts will start late Tuesday morning and afternoon.
There is an elevated risk for the spread fire on Tuesday, as gusts up to 40 mph are possible during the late morning and afternoon, according to the National Weather Service Chicago.
The weather service said the strong south-southwest winds and the dry conditions may result in a heightened risk of grass or brush fire spread.

"A few light showers or sprinkles" will also be possible for some on Tuesday, the weather service said. The high for the day is 45 degrees.
