5 Semitrailers Flip On I-88: Report

FRANKLIN GROVE, IL — Five semitrailers flipped Tuesday on Interstate 88 near Franklin Grove, according to WTVO.

The outlet reported all the vehicles flipped within four miles of one another amid wind gusts of up to 75 mph. Franklin Grove is located in northern Illinois between Rochelle and Dixon.

Wind gusts in the area were expected to reach as high as 25 mph in the afternoon and 35 mph overnight, followed Wednesday by likely showers and thunderstorms and gusts of up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service, which reported the wind was forecast to continue into Thursday.
