6 Inches Of Snow Possible, Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Chicago
Areas to the north and west of Chicago will see the most snow, and Monday could bring below-zero wind chill.
ILLINOIS — A wintry weekend is expected as another round of snow is possible on Saturday into Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, starting 9 a.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday, for Boone, McHenry, Lake, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage and northern and central Cook counties.
The areas under the advisory, which is mostly west and north of the city, could see between 3 and 6 inches of snow, according to the weather service. Roads will also be snow-covered and travel could be slippery.
AccuWeather is also predicting 3 to 6 inches of snow.

The weather service said the steadiest snowfall rates of 1/2 inch to 1 inch per hour are expected Saturday afternoon and evening.
The snowfall forecast still remains uncertain, the weather service said on its Twitter. There will most likely be a sharp drop-off in snow south of Interstate 88.

Saturday will have a high of 39 degrees, and Sunday will be colder with a high of 31. As we move into the work week, temperatures will get even colder, and Monday has a high of 23 degrees, according to the weather service.
Monday morning wind chills could be as low as seven below zero, the weather service said.
