ILLINOIS — A very warm and humid weekend is in the forecast for the Chicago area, as highs in the 90s are expected on Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Before the heat on Saturday and Sunday, Friday will have a high of 87 degrees, and there could be an isolated shower or storm. An afternoon shower is possible, mainly in the Chicago metro area and south of Interstate 80, the weather service said.
