ILLINOIS — Temperatures will be more seasonable this week, as it is expected to be in the 80s all week, according to the National Weather Service.

Poor air quality is also expected Monday, due to Canadian wildfire smoke and elevated ozone levels, the weather service said. Those with chronic respiratory illnesses should limit their time outdoors.

The air quality alert remains in effect through Monday night.

It will be in the 80s all week, with a high of 84 on Monday, a high of 82 on Tuesday, a high of 80 on Wednesday and Thursday, and a high of 84 on Friday, according to the weather service forecast.

It will be mostly dry, except for isolated rain showers possible on Monday night and Tuesday.

"Meaningful rainfall is unlikely to occur this week," the weather service said on its Twitter.

AccuWeather gave a high of 80 for Tuesday for Joliet, and the private forecaster only gave a 12 percent probability of precipitation.
