Illinois residents looking to stock up for a Memorial Day cookout, tackle a home improvement project or shop for summer vacation clothes should check their local store hours before heading out to shop Monday.
Memorial Day Weekend is one of the biggest shopping events of the year, and many stores will be open to accommodate workers who have the day off on Monday.
Many grocery, hardware and retail stores will be open Monday, though some stores may operate on reduced schedules. CVS, Walgreens, and pharmacies within other stores will generally be open, but hours vary greatly by location.
