A "warm and dry pattern" will continue through the end of the month, and dangerous swimming conditions are also expected on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service said a "backdoor front may lead to rip currents along the Illinois shoreline of Lake Michigan on Saturday." Life-threatening currents and breaking waves up to 5 feet are possible.
The high of Friday will be 85 degrees, 82 on Saturday, and 81 degrees on Sunday. The entire weekend looks to remain sunny and dry. Temperatures will stay cooler at the lake with highs in the 60s, according to the weather service.
The warm and dry weather looks to continue even into early June, according to the current forecast.
