We all know Fourth of July fireworks can be tough for pups. We're celebrating here in a more metaphorically explosive way, with a dynamite array of patriotic pet pics from our Illinois Patch Readers.

These doggos (and a couple cats!) are sporting their sequined Americana hats, bedazzled red, white and blue sunglasses and tutus and PBR trucker caps to bring us something extra to celebrate as America turns 250.
