National Dog Day falls on Aug. 26 2026, and Patch is asking its Illinois readers to share photos of their beloved pups to be featured in an upcoming article.
Here's how to get your dog's image featured:
1. Send a picture you took of your pet to lisa.farver@patch.com. It must be a photo you took.
2. Include "National Dog Day" in the subject line.
3. Include your pet's name, your full name and the following text: "I took this image and I give Patch permission to share it."
Then, just wait until Aug. 26, when we will share an article debuting our roundup of the most photogenic, adorable, irresistible dogs in Illinois.
The deadline to submit an image is Aug. 23 at 5 p.m.
