Thunderstorm chances will return Tuesday, with a chance for torrential rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
First, Monday should be mostly dry, although a "few sprinkles" are possible, the weather service said. Temperatures will be near 80 degrees all week, with a high of 81 on Monday, 81 on Tuesday, 78 on Wednesday, 77 on Thursday and 80 on Friday.
The weather service said scattered strong to severe storms may develop late Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Storms could bring torrential rain and damaging winds to the area. The rain could cause flooding of roads, low-lying areas and basements, according to the weather service.
Storms could continue into Wednesday morning. The rest of the week looks dry, except for a small chance of storms on Friday night.

MONDAY: Isolated showers after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

TUESDAY: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
WEDNESDAY: A 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.
