Severe Storms Possible As Cold Front Moves Into Chicago Area: Here's When It Will Hit

Weather this week looks "dry and seasonable," but there is a chance of storms mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday and Tuesday will both be dry and sunny, with a high of 79 on Monday and a high of 80 on Tuesday.

The weather service said a cold front will bring a chance of storms on Wednesday, and some could be strong to severe on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Mild conditions will continue after Wednesday, and dry and sunny skies are expected on Thursday and Friday. According to the current forecast, Thursday and Friday's high will both be 82 degrees.
