Wendy Waddick, of Campton Hills, told us she raised this newly emerged and released Monarch butterfly she had raised from an egg found on one of her milkweed plants. Waddick said the butterfly is "resting on a Zinnia flower, getting energy from the sun before flying off."

"We will display our "ofrenda" at our home in Romeoville. Celebrating our deceased loved ones is truly a joy." The holiday is Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.
