Award Winning Author Patricia M McClure will be an exhibitor at Holiday Arts/Vendor Extravaganza to support musical arts at Streamwood H.S.

Award Winning Author Patricia M McClure “Losing a Hero to Alzheimer’s The Story of Pearl” 7th Stop of the "Purple Movement Fall Tour" will be at the Holiday Arts Extravaganza! Craft, Art and Vendor Fair at Streamwood High School sponsored by the Streamwood Choral Society.

McClure will be in attendance with a variety of vendors. She will be signing copies of "Losing a
to Alzheimer's The Story of Pearl" on Saturday Oct. 28, 2017 at the Streamwood High School located at 701 Schaumburg Road in Streamwood, IL from 9:00 - 3:00 p.m.

This book will allow the reader to garner some practical standpoints from a family member’s perspective. McClure acquaints readers with the warning signs, and characteristics associated with each stage of Alzheimer’s. She explains the effect the disease can have on the individual, the caregiver and relationships within the family system. In the author's story, you will hear how a mother’s love never fails. McClure’s love for her mom didn’t change despite the obstacles she encountered as a caregiver. From personal experience, she says family members must come together selflessly, patiently and lovingly to care for the needs of the individual, regardless of the family dynamic or any societal issues that may challenge their resolve.
McClure states "Alzheimer's is a transformation that you will never get use to but have to learn to adapt to."
