An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, IL — A boater on the Wabash river found a man's body in the water just south of State Road 154 Wednesday night. WTHI reported Sullivan County dispatch was alerted to the discovery of an adult white male's body on the river between Hutsonville, Illinois and Merom, Indiana, according to the county's Sheriff Clark Cottom.

WTHI reported that Sheriff Cottom said the body was clothed and appeared to have been in the river for less than 48 hours.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon as the sheriff isn't releasing details on the cause of death or male's identity.
