Cold Front Will Bring Fall-Like Temps, Rain To Chicago Area

ILLINOIS — A few more "dog days of October" are expected during the start of the week, before a cold front brings rain and cooler temps to the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service.

After the cold front pushes through, temperatures will get progressively cooler, the weather service said.

Thursday will have a high of 73, and Friday a high of 63. Rain, and even storms, are possible on Thursday, mainly southeast of Interstate 55, according to the weather service.
Spotty showers are also possible on Friday.

The weekend will be even cooler, with a high of 56 on Saturday and a high of 60 on Sunday.
