Cruise Nights, Car Shows: Illinois Round-Up

ILLINOIS, IL – The mercury is rising, so it's the time of year to check out classic cars.

Many Chicago suburbs enjoy car shows, some regularly throughout the summer. These events offer other features, including live entertainment.

Check out our guide below, and head out to your favorite car show this summer:

COOK COUNTY

• Hometown: VFW Cruise Night, Hometown VFW, 9092 S. Main St., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., every first, third and fourth Wednesdays from May 1 to Aug. 28.
• Tinley Park: Cruise Nights, along Oak Park Avenue from 171st Street to 173rd Place, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays from June 4 to Aug. 27.
• Skokie: Monday Night Cruise-In, Westfield Old Orchard Mall, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays from June 3 to Aug. 26.

DUPAGE COUNTY

• Downers Grove: Moose Cruise Nights, Loyal Order of Moose Downers Grove Lodge 1535, 1030 Warren Ave., 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 30.
• Elmhurst: Friday Cruise Night, Burger King, 176 E. Butterfield Road, Fridays through October.
• Burr Ridge: Burr Ridge Car Show, Burr Ridge Village Center, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 17.
• Naperville: Downtown Naperville Classic Car Show, 9 a.m. to noon June 15.
• Lisle: Downtown Lisle Car Shows, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., third Wednesdays from June to September.
• Lombard: Cruise Nights and Summer Concert, downtown, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays from June 15 to Aug. 24.
• Westmont: 2024 Cruisin' Nights & Street Fair, downtown, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays from June through August.

LAKE COUNTY

• Lake Bluff: Lake Bluff History Museum Auto Show, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 22.
• Libertyville: Car Fun on 21, Church and Cook streets in downtown, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., third Wednesdays from June to September.
• Wauconda: Cruise Nights, Route 176 and Main Street, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., third Tuesdays from June to September.

MCHENRY COUNTY

• Union: Illinois Railway Museum Vintage Transport Extravaganza, 7000 Olson Road, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 4. Admission is $20 for adults; $18 for seniors and youths; and $16 for children.
• Crystal Lake: Struttin' Ur Stuff Car Show, 5220 Northwest Highway, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 15.
• Lake in the Hills: Summer Sunset Fest Classic and Custom Car Show, Sunset Park, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 30.
• Cary: Cruise Nights, downtown, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays from June 5 to Aug. 14, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug 21 and 28.

WILL COUNTY

• New Lenox: Cruise the Commons, 145-199 Veterans Parkway, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., third Tuesdays through September.
• Frankfort: Frankfort Car Club's Cruise Nights, across the street from Trail's Edge Restaurant, 20 Kansas St., in downtown, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday nights from June 3 through Sept. 23.
• Lockport: Cruisin' Into Lockport, Ninth and State streets in downtown, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays from June 3 to Aug. 26.
• Homer Glen: Lemont Classic Car Club Cruise Nights, Konow's Corn Maze, 16849 S. Cedar Road, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 5.
• Joliet: Babe's Hot Dogs Cruise Nights, 2600 W. Jefferson St., 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays during the summer.
• Plainfield: Cruise Nights, in downtown along Lockport Street, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, opening at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays from June 4 to Aug. 20.
