Daily Storm Chances, Dangerous Heat On The Way: IL Weekend Weather
Here's when storms could hit parts of the Chicago area over the weekend and next week.
ILLINOIS — A "quiet weather day" on Friday will lead the way into the weekend, before showers and storms are expected Saturday into early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday will have a high of 83 degrees, and should be dry and sunny. There is a chance of storms late Friday into Saturday.
The weather service said there is the potential for strong to severe storms on Saturday, but it depends on the evolution of any thunderstorm complexes across Iowa and Minnesota on Friday night.
