Walter Lesus took this mesmerizing photo at Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area in Yorkville.

Nete A., of St. Charles, got this great shot of a female barn owl at Gray Willos Farm in Campton Hills. Nete said that when a band was playing during a picnic event, the owl was "boppin' her head to the music."
